Products and services

The Fraunhofer FEP is working on innovative projects referring the themes of vacuum coating and thin film technology as well as surface treatment with electron beams and plasmas. Electron beam technology, pulsed magnetron sputtering and plasma-activated high rate deposition are the core areas of expertise on which our work is based. The aim of our work is to open up innovative applications of Electron Beam and Plasma Technology in industrial processes and bringing new business opportunities to our customers. Besides developing layer systems, products and technologies, another main area of work is the scale-up of the technologies for coating and treatment of larger areas with high productivity. Feasibility studies, development programs, production of key components and pilot production are just a few examples of the extensive range of services we do offer to customers and partners.
